Princess Crown for the PSP is a port of the Saturn title. Princess Crown tells the story of the young Princess Gradriel. Following her mother's death, she ascends the throne, but quickly grows fed up with the formalities of palace life. She decides to take flight of the castle and tour her kingdom in order to see what plights afflict her people with her own eyes. This leads to an adventure in which Gradriel meets numerous side kicks, travels through time, and fights an evil that threatens to destroy the world. In addition to a lengthy quest, along with multiple side quests featuring different main characters, Princess Crown was known for its eye-catching 2D visuals and its fighting engine. The fights, while simple, placed Gradriel against screen-filling foes, and were fun to watch, and to play. In addition, Atlus is including a gallery mode featuring sound and illustrations.

In Valhalla Knights, you are a hero who wakes up in a strange land and has no idea of his identity. An ambitious but novice dungeon maker arrives in a small town known to suffer periodic attacks from violent monsters. He buys a vast plot of land at the outskirts of the town to create a grand dungeon in hopes of luring in various enemy monsters which to hunt to collect gold and items. He envisions his complete dungeon to be one so appealing as to lure the legendary Wandering Demon. Defeating this menacing monster would free the townspeople from the fear he casts upon them, while winning acclaim as a true dungeon maker for the "Architect." The townspeople are initially skeptical about the Architect's ability to achieve his ultimate goal of building such a dungeon. Over the years, they've watched other such dungeon makers arrive with great plans but ultimately fail -- falling prey to the very monsters they've lured into their dungeons or haphazardly abandoning their creations. However, as the Architect's dungeon grows and improves, luring rarer and more powerful enemies, and he begins bringing back more valuable treasures, the townspeople begin offering support to his mission. Soon the whole town is involved in the dungeon making process; they give advice about the intricacies of dungeon making, sell crucial items, provide weapons and magic spells, treat the Architect when injured, and request various favors to be completed in the expanding dungeon in exchange for generous rewards. Whether the growing hopes of the townspeople and the Architect will be realized all depends on the quality of the dungeon he creates and his developing battle skills.

Coded Soul is an original Action RPG for the PSP. You play as Jay, a soldier who travels to the world of Idea to save his girlfriend, May. And that special power is the ability to control monsters by sucking up their souls. Once you’ve defeated a foe, you can make it into your ally for use during future battles. You can take up to two monsters with you on your treks into Idea, selecting from eventually over 100 beasts. Gameplay in Coded Soul revolves around Jay’s exploration of the randomly generated dungeons of Idea. You’re limited in the amount of time you can spend in the world, with your time limit replenished only by reaching key check points. Along the way, you face off against beasts using an action-oriented battle system. The game also has the Okada staples like a weapon and item synthesis system and a “Karma” system through which you make your monsters learn new skills.

Nayuta no Kiseki looks like a potentially solid entry from Nihon Falcom, but while it is set to release July 26th of this year, it is currently only set for a Japan release. The game features different seasons, and with those changes in year - different enemy encounters, as well as a crafting system for potions. I love the visuals on this game, and have a few screenshots and a trailer for it included below.
